Easy to say, hard to do. After over 20 years leading large teams in corporate America, I have found that it is easier to proactively drive the behaviors you want within your organization. That being said, this is the prime season to demonstrate to your employee base what behaviors you value. During your Year-end appreciation and employee awards event, (If you don’t have one, think about it!) the organization can recognize a series of positive traits such as loyalty, performance, and safety. By publicly rewarding the individuals that do the job right, you will create some incentives for other employees to strive for.
